DONATIONS

As part of our circular fashion initiative, Timeless Tulle Bridal aims to give each dress a new breath of life. And in doing so, we have donated two gorgeous antique wedding dresses to two different charity organisations, who will pass these dresses onto a beautiful new bride who cannot afford a wedding dress.

At the end of each dress sale consignment period, we offer our clients the option to donate their wedding dresses to young girls in need of a dress. We also want to provide a platfrom for brides to donate their dresses to a new bride should they not wish to sell their dress.

To donate your dress with Timeless Tulle, get in touch with us at info@timelesstullebridal.com.

OUR DRESS DONATION STORY

Melody found an article about Timeless Tulle Bridal in the Saturday Star and kindly donated her dress to us to pass onto a bride in need of a wedding dress.

Her and her husband Ralph shared their romantic love story with us about how they met, how they have loved through the years, and how they have cherished their moments together for 60 years.

A NOTE FROM MELODY TO THE NEW BRIDE-TO-BE:

“On the 2nd February, 1964, Ralph & I were married at the Great Synagogue, Wolmarans Street, Johannesburg. So, PG, we will shortly be celebrating our 60th Wedding Anniversary.

We have been blessed with 3 amazing sons and daughters-in-law, and 7 wonderful grandchildren and have had a good life, full of ups and downs, which we have weathered with love, compassion and understanding.

To the bride who will hopefully be receiving this wedding dress, which we have lovingly cherished for the past 60 years, we wish you as many years of love and happiness as we have achieved and hope you will feel as special in it as I did 60 years ago.

The dress was designed and made by Madame Lisicker, a well-known wedding dressmaker at the time.

Best Wishes, Melody”

Melody’s gorgeous satin dress, adorned with beaded flowers, came with matching gloves, two different detachable train lengths and a stunning veil headpiece. Her dress and its accessories were donated to the The Jewish Women’s Benevolent Society. A voluntary run, non-profit organisation relying solely on the generosity of the community to cover operating costs and to provide funding for their projects. All donations ensure they can continue their vital work.

“You might not be able to change the world, but you might be able to change the world for one person.”
